©Staying in at Recess (24"x36" acrylic on stretched canvas) Who's staying in at recess? Why the viewer of course, sitting before the desk with the marbles and slingshot, undoubtedly the reason for such "cruel and unusual" punishment. Can you imagine, shooting marbles with a slingshot? The circa 1911 one-room school is a life-size showcase for a collection of educational memorabilia in upstate New York. It's a big hit at art shows with the over-70 crowd, many of which have probably spent a few hours "staying in at recess".

©That Lived-in Look (20"x26" stretched canvas) This has been one of the most popular paintings I've ever had at art shows. No, it's not my son's room, it's obviously a female mess, but his often looks as bad. The work was in drawing this mess without wanting to "straighten" it up. Painting it was fun. Painting is, by its very nature, "messy".
Framed in oak....................................$795.
